Payment

All fees are agreed and paid a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Payment to be made by BACs.

If you have private health care insurance you are responsible for settling the invoice and then claiming the costs back. Please check your cover before agreeing to therapy.

Cancellation

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment. With less than 24 hours’ notice or a failure to attend, we will charge you the full cost of that session.

It is your responsibility to contact the therapist or assistant. Contact details will be provided.

If for unforeseen circumstances we need to cancel an appointment, no charge will be made and we will rearrange as soon as possible.

NHS Speech Therapy

Please let us know if you are waiting for NHS speech therapy, or if you are currently being seen. With your permission, we will contact your NHS therapist, so that we can jointly provide the best outcome for your child.

Sharing Information

With your consent we will share information with any other professionals involved in your child’s care. This may be through telephone or email.

Should any safeguarding concerns arise, we have a legal obligation to share this information with relevant professionals.

Communication by email

Communication between parents, carers, other professionals and between Therapists and Assistants may be carried out via email.

We will password protect reports and objective sheets.

The confidentiality of email sent via the internet cannot always be guaranteed.

Protecting your Information

Core Speech and Language is registered with information Commissioners Office (ICO) as a data controller

Information will be treated confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Information stored on computers and sent via email will be password protected.

Paper notes will be stored securely and treated confidentially.
